Founded in 1907, Saint Cecilia Cathedral Elementary is a National Exemplary Blue-Ribbon school that boasts a K-8 system as well as a preschool, day care and extended care program. Rigorous academics, high expectations, and constant encouragement to live in the Catholic faith through service to others are the standard. Children's Faith Formation

Jolene Felber / 402-669-6927

Saint Cecilia’s Children's Faith Formation program assists parents with their responsibility for the faith formation of their children and prepares each student to receive the Sacraments at the appropriate age. Faith Formation provides catechetical learning for students who attend public schools or home school in grades one through Confirmation. We continue the mission of the Catholic Church as we follow and share the message of Jesus Christ with our students. We support the parents in their duty as the primary educators of their children through a Catholic learning environment which fosters the spiritual, intellectual, emotional, social, physical, and creative potential of each student.

Classes are on Thursdays 6:30-7:30 pm from September - May.

Annual fee is $50 per child.

Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA)

Deacon Jim Tardy / 402-558-0820  or TJ Mullaney / 402-210-8418

RCIA is the ordinary process for non-baptized persons to enter the Catholic Church, and for those baptized in other Christian denominations who wish to make a profession of faith in the Catholic Church. Baptized Catholics who have not received Holy Eucharist or Confirmation are also welcome to participate in the process. Parishioners serve as parish sponsors and RCIA team members. They assist catechumens and candidates in their journey of learning and discernment.  Classes are held on Thursday evenings (6:30 pm to 9:00 pm) from the first week of September to the feast of Pentecost.
