It’s Reunion Season Planning Time!

This is just a reminder to start reconnecting with your class mates, and take advantage of the early time frame to make contact.

The class of 1978 is already discussing plans for their reunion in 2018.

The database administration office (402- 551-2313 or This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. ) can help by sharing our most current alumni listings for your reunion contacts. We will also print alumni gathering information in the Cathedral Chimes to help reach out to classmates about upcoming events.

The Cathedral Parish Center in the Monsignor Ernest Graham Building is available with zero rental fees for school reunion events. This space will hold up to 150 people and was been newly remodeled about eight years ago. You won’t be sent downstairs to the cafeteria unless you want to tour that space.

We can manage just about every event from casual events with appetizers to a formal or semi-formal dinner. The Graham building is also handicapped accessible.

You need not wait for the 50th reunion for your class. Schedule a 30, 35 or 40 year reunion at the Cathedral Parish Center. Once you reach the 50 year reunion mark, you can throw a party here every year if you wish! Our facility is a wonderful gathering and welcoming place.

If you are interested in scheduling a reunion, please call Brigid Morrison Burbridge at the Development and Alumni Relations office to check on available openings for the parish center and for class list information. 402-551-2313.

Happy Reunion Planning! Go Cardinals!

Cathedral High Class of 1962 Reunion

The Cathedral High Class of 1962 celebrated their 55th reunion with a weekend long party. The weekend started on Friday, Sept. 15th with golf at Stone Creek Golf Course with Bob Race, CHS ’61 as the host and starter. The evening continued after golf with a night at Cunningham’s Pub and Grille. After recovering from a fun Friday, the Class of 1962 continued their celebration Saturday night at the Graham Parish Center at Ssint Cecilia’s Parish with a meal prepared by Mangia Italiana and donated by Dave Harrington. Following dinner The Mystery was revealed as entertainment by our very own musical duet, Colleen Curran and Dave Weber. As in the past, this was a memorable and historic evening celebrated with class members of Cathedral and Holy Name classes of 1960 to 1963!! The evening was hosted by the McGinn-Seitz-Harrington Party Planners. These class members made a generous donation of over $2,200 to Saint Cecilia Cathedral with $315 of that being donated to Holy Name Grade School. We thank these classes for being wonderful stewards to both grade schools.

Cathedral High Class of 1967 Reunion

Cathedral High Class of 1967 celebrated the 50th Anniversary of the Class of 1967  with members of the Saint Cecilia Grade School Class of 1963. The bonds nurtured during the years growing up together remain strong and no reunion marking such a milestone would be complete without our grade school classmates. The reunion was held on Saturday, June 10th with a tour of the high school (now known as The Monsignor Graham Building) followed by Mass at 5:30. Following Mass, dinner was served in the Skyline Room at Riverfront Place in downtown Omaha.  A wonderful time was had by all.

Cathedral High Class of 1977 Reunion

The Cathedral High School Class of 1977 held their reunion on the weekend of July 14th -16, 2017 and will be meeting again during the weekend of the Cathedralfest.  The Class of 1977 made donations to the St. Cecilia Grade School Scholarship Fund by selling raffle tickets for a quilt that was made up of pictures of their high school years.  This drawing will take place at their gathering during the weekend of October 6th – 8th, 2017.  For more information you may contact Marg Ladd at This email address is being protected from spambots. Higgins Golf Classic 2017

The funds raised this year at the golf tournament were approximately $22k.  Funds in the past have gone to a guided reading program, a patio and landscaping near the soccer field.  We appreciate the continual support from the proceeds of the Higgins Memorial Golf Tournament.

Calling all alumni, both grade school and high school:

The Roger Higgins Memorial Golf Classic Annual Tournament has grown to be a favorite with its unique Hometown “Cathedral” style. Roger Higgins was a much loved teacher and coach on our campus. The Higgins family attended the Cathedral schools and made many friends and good memories during those years. The tradition lives on! Invite your classmates, friends and co-workers to be part of this not-to-be-missed Higgins Classic!

Don’t delay registering — this event fills up quickly! All proceeds benefit our students’ athletic and academic programs. For more detail, contact: John Higgins at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. .
